“This study aims to identify the cognitive coaching components of managers in the Khorasan Razavi Gas Company. The research employs a qualitative-phenomenological approach for data collection. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 18 employees of the Khorasan Razavi Gas Company who had a cognitive competency assessment score averaging above 60% in the company’s talent assessment center, and whose managers also had an average cognitive competency assessment score above 60%. Participants were selected using purposive judgmental sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Colaizzi’s phenomenological method. The results of the research led to the identification of four main components and 21 sub-components in cognitive coaching, encompassing cognitive skills, motivation and inspiration, individual and team empowerment, and emotional intelligence. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for managers and stakeholders within the company and other organizations regarding the design of developmental programs based on cognitive coaching and the development of competency models according to cognitive competencies.”
