Today, social and technological transformations have brought Generation Z into the workplace of governmental organizations, thereby intensifying the need to reconsider organizational communication patterns in alignment with the characteristics, expectations, and interaction styles of this generation. Accordingly, this study aimed to develop and validate an effective organizational communication architecture with an emphasis on Generation Z employees in governmental organizations of Razavi Khorasan Province. In terms of its purpose, the study was fundamental, and methodologically, it employed an exploratory mixed-methods design (qualitative–quantitative). In the qualitative phase, the participants consisted of 15 academic experts in the field of management, selected through purposive sampling, and data collection continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. In the quantitative phase, the statistical population comprised 1,363 managers and Generation Z employees working in governmental organizations in Razavi Khorasan Province, from which 300 participants were selected as the sample based on the Krejcie and Morgan sampling table. Given the dispersion of the population across governmental organizations, simple random sampling was employed in this phase. The findings revealed that the organizational communication architecture with an emphasis on Generation Z comprises six dimensions: technological, content-related, process-related, leadership, motivational, and cultural. These dimensions had effects on effective organizational communication with coefficients of 0.792, 0.804, 0.863, 0.846, 0.886, and 0.900, respectively. Overall, the findings provide a basis for designing and implementing communication patterns aligned with the specific requirements and expectations of Generation Z in governmental organizations, thereby contributing to improved organizational interactions and enhanced organizational efficiency.
